The Solutions Health PGX program allows physicians to determine a patient’s genetic makeup to identify his or her risk factors. Testing measures include lifestyle, drug to drug interactions, how a patient metabolizes each drug, and more. Once you receive a patient’s 10 to 30-page static report you will also have access to a portal software platform personalized for each patient to quickly help you identify alternative medications for lowering the patient’s risk levels and potentially reduce his or her medication cost.
When a PGX test is done, physicians will no longer need to experiment with different medications and dosages for a patient. This is a great cost-saving measure for both patients and physicians – not to mention it greatly reduces the chances of adverse drug events (ADEs). In order to accurately and confidently prescribe medications for a patient, pharmacogenomics testing is the only sure way.
